COB 300

COB 300 was the most challenging set of classes in my time at JMU. The class brings together different areas of business and centers around creating a full business plan for an original product idea. My team developed Sensora, a sensory wristband designed to help individuals manage everyday anxiety symptoms through wearable technology. The product concept included a heart rate monitor that could detect increased stress levels and respond with calming rhythmic vibrations, along with a companion app that tracked user data and provided added support features.

Through this project, I gained experience in market research, branding, teamwork, presentations, and building a business idea from the ground up. Sensora was selected as one of the top projects in our class and advanced to the Rainey-Shepard-Kushel Business Plan Competition, where we presented to alumni judges and investors. Competing in front of professionals was a valuable experience that strengthened my confidence, communication skills, and ability to apply classroom concepts in a real-world setting.
